Mr. H. Moschini, hon. secretary of the Wellington Professional Orchestra, has been presented with a handsome silver-mounted music case, as a token of the esteem in which he is held by members.
Mr. C. L. Mowlem, well known in musical circles in Palmerston North, was entertained by his friends prior to going into camp with the Tenth Reinforcements. He was presented with a case of pipes and a wristlet watch as tokens of esteem.
The members of the Williamson Musical Comedy Company arrived in Wellington on November 15th, and went on to Hobart, en route for Melbourne, the same afternoon.
Eleonora de Cisneros, mezzosoprano, was singing in the second act of “Samson and Delilah” and the second and fourth acts of “Carmen,” in French, at the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra when the mail left America.
“Paul Jones” was to be revived in Melbourne this week.
The Bletsoe Musical Comedy Revue Company, which opened in Sydney last week, are the fourth of the eight revue companies on the Fuller circuit that has appeared in Sydney. Comprising 16 performers, the compaiiy has made a good name for itself in other parts of the circuit.
