HAMILTON RACING CLUB.
At the first meeting of the new com mittee of the Hamilton (late South Auckland) Rac’ng Club. Mr Brookfield was elected cha’rman. The suggestion bv the Racing Conference in regard to standard hurdles was approved. Peimission was given to the Waipa Racing Club to use the course for its hist meeting in December. A hearty vote thanks was accorded Mr. Godwin for his services as chairman of the General Committee. Twelve new members were elected. The following offic als were appointed:—Patron, Hon. AV. H. Henries; president, Mr. A. J. Stole., ' vice-president, Mr. H. T. Gillies, judge. Mr A. Storey. honorary treasurer. Mr. J. Dalgliesh; auditor. Mr R J- Gwvnne; secretary, Mi. W. T. Conradi; clerk of the scales Mr E. B Davy; clerk of the course. Mr. R Casev; handicapper, Mr. G. Morse; starter, Mr. R. H. Skipwith; timekeeper. Mr. S. Harker; hon. surgeons, Drs Rogers and Garland; hon. vets., Messrs. Glover and Wilson; stewards, the committee; grounds committee, Messrs. Storey, Gill’es and RowlandMr E Godwin is also to be asked to co-operate with this committee: programme committee, Messrs. Vercoe. Dalgliesh and the secretary. The programme committee was asked to consider cutting out the two-year-old races and the substitution of maiden races.
