MASTERTON RACING CLUB.

The spring programme of the Masterton Racing Club appears in this issue, and the attention of owners is called thereto and to the date of closing of nominations for all events, viz., Friday, September 24th. The Spring Handicap is an open event of the value of 22550v5., and the Flying and Stewards’ Handicap events respectively of the value of 130 and 140sovs. are also open. The Trial Handicap, of lOOsovs., is for horses that have not won a race exceeding 25sovs. in value, and the Telephone, Masterton and Dash Handicaps, of lOOsovs., as also the Ladies’ Bracelet, are races run under hack conditions, the lastnamed event being for gentlemen riders, bracelets of the value of 50sovs., 15sovs. and lOsovs. respectively going to the lady nominators of the placed horses. Mr. A. Hathaway is the secretary, and the date of the meeting has been fixed for October 14th.
