OPERA HOUSE.
Straight-out vaudeville once more rules at the Opera House, and an excellent programme is being measured out to the utmost satisfaction of large audiences. Amongst a succession of star acts is a comedy jumble provided by George Edwards and Rosie Parkes, a diverting pair, who catch the ear with breezy patter and catchy songs. Mr. Edwards is an old favourite on the Auckland stage, and he returns as winning as ever. That inimitable American raconteur Mr. George Hall is back again, and is in the front rank of entertainers. No one can beat him at bringing home a point, and his stories, whether serious or humorous, are delivered with telling effect. He is a host in himself. Courtney and Shaw are two new arrivals who are received with acclamation for the'.r ragtime specialties and piano work. A unique jug-
gling act is supplied by George Campbell who mingles his tricks with a judicious amount of comedy. Tom Dawson is to light with humorous character songs, in which he makes a big hit. Miss Blanche Corelli, with a pleasing appearance and voice to match, captures the immediate favour of the audience. Kelly and Pollock will always top any bill with their specialty offering, as they never fail to go from the start. The remainder of the bill is capably filled by Miss Ella Airlie, in her taking songs at the piano; Miss Effie Fellows, in male impersonations; Les Wharton, dispenser of coon melodies; and Frank, Lank and Alice, in extraordinary juggling and club feats. Matinees will be held as usual on Wednesday and Saturday.
