DISQUALIFICATIONS REMOVED.

A- notice appears in the Official Calendar that the Wellington Racing Club has removed all disqualifications imposed upon participants in the Miramar unregistered meetings as from May sth last. This is a gracious act, and might well be followed by a number of other metropolitan clubs which have placed in the black list the names of numbers of similar offenders who assisted more or less actively in the racing of horses in the unregistered ranks in different parts of the Dominion. There are no unregistered meetings permitted in New Zealand now, so far as we are aware, and the horses that were disqualified in the season of 1908-9 are all past a racing age, and the best of them, if that were not so, would not be found capable of winning a decent gallop let alone a race. They were a very third-rate lot, taking them all round. We commend the action of tlie Wellington R.C. to other clubs.
