OPERA HOUSE.
Vaudeville lovers have nothing to complain of 'ln the Fuller-Brennan offering this week. Mystery is lent by Wong Toy Sun, who topped the bill on Monday with his conjuring exposition. An Eastern stage setting with appropriate music enhanced the effect of the illusions so ably presented by the magician. James Teddy, described as the champion jumper of world, astounded the audience with H's high and long-jumping his feat being crowned with the sensational achievement of jumping from a 20ft. platform with a pair of dumb bells in his hand. Teddy’s act is one
that will appeal keenly to athletes. The last note in patterology and repartee was struck by Vaude and Verne, who have been scoring heavily with Australian audiences, and are like to make good out here. The pair enjoy a wide reputation for being able to turn to stage account any and every event of the hour. They hand over their gags irresistibly and give a smart stimulus to proceedings'. An exhibition on the Roman rings served to show the dental strength and athletic endurance of Meredith and Andil, while another couple in Marzen and Florence demonstrated that they had brought the art of balancing to a fine point. George Ford, ventriloqul'st and Piquo. who gives a potpourri of everything associated with a clown’s' performance, again had the stamp of approval placed on their work, while the vocal portion of the programme was built up by William Sumner a.nd Jock Thompson. Matinees will be held as usual cn Wednesday and Saturday.
