During her appearance in comedy in London, Alice Russen, principal girl in “Puss in Boots” in the J. C. Williamson pantomime, created a leading part in “Mr. George” in which Charles Hawtrey appeared. In “The Belle of Mayfair” in London Miss Russon took Edna May’s part on the latter’s marriage, and subsequently succeeded to Phyllis Dare’s role in “The Catch of the Season.”
