OPERA HOUSE.

A .mammoth programme is being presented at the Opera House this week under the Fuller-Brennan direction, and holiday audiences are tasting the delights of vaudeville at its best. Dainty Eva Mudge struck the top note in popularity last week with her quick-change act, but the sceptics having doubted her authenticity, and suspecting her of having used a double. Miss Mudge now dresses in a transparent tent placed on the stage. And seeing is believing! Head-liners this week are Hedley and Bartlett, who under the euphonious title of the musical mokes, .make mirth and music in an act that is as unique as it is clever. Sharing the honours are the Brackens in a sensational juggling turn. They perform incredible feats on wire, and were enthusiastically ovated on their first appearance. Ar. excellent musical comely sketch is provided by tne Lintons, artistes of an exceptionally hign order, who should strike the public taste to a nicety. Victor the Great exudes mystery and magic at every turn, his ventriloquial act on Monday night being a remarkably clever piece of work. Fred. Rivenhall is to the fore with a fresh •budget of comicalities, and the deafening reception he met with last night left no doubts as to his popularity. The Delroys ana the Fontenoys again make good with their specialities, the former with their bewildering hooprolling and racquet spinning, and the latter with their delightful singing. Miss Pearl Livingstone is as much in demand as ever, and is adding to her admirers in legions. The programme will be repeated ■each night this week, and as there is no doubt about the quality of the “goods,” holiday-makers should on no account miss a night’s bill of wholesome melody and fun.
