PENALTIES. FLAT RACES. —The winner of any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101 b, and every additional race a further penalty of 61b. Horses handicapped at 8.10 or over to carry only half the above penalty (applies to the Whangarei Meeting only). The winner of any race of £4O or upwards after declaration of weights may be re-handicapped. No penalty to be incurred by the winner of the Settlers’ Handicap or the Maiden Plate Handicap. NOTE.—Races First Day, Nos. 1,4, 6, and Second Day, Nos. 1,4, 7, are open only to horses that have been owned and located continuously in any County North of the Waitemata County three months prior to date of entry.
