WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB.
FIRST DAY. There . was fine weather and a large attendance for the Wairarapa Racing Club’s meeting on Saturday and Easter Monday. The sum of £20,770 was put through the totalisator, as against £15,996 last year. The results were as follow:— TRIAL HANDICAP, six furlongs.— Semaphore, B.S, 1; Distinction, 8.8, 2; Lambton, 8.8, 3. Won easily by a neck. Time, lmin 14 4-ssec. TE WAKA HACK WELTER, seven furlongs.—Toney, 9.3, 1; Mediterranean, 8.8, 2; Glenfern, 9.3, 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin 29 4-ssec. : EASTER HANDICAP, one mile and aquarter.—Sea Queen, 8.9, 1; Sinapsis, 8.2, 2; Red Lupin, 7.7, 3. Won by half-a-length. Time, 2min 7sec, which is a record for the track. NURSERY HANDICAP, four furlongs. —King’s Favourite, 8.8, 1; Mount Victoria 8.2 2; Peronel, 9.3, 3. Won by a neck. Time, 47 2-ssec. WANGAIMOANA HANDICAP, seven furlongs.—Overtime, 8.9, 1; Mon Ami, 8.10, 2; Negative, 9.3, 3. Won by half-a-length." Time, lmin 27 2-ssec. MAKAHI HACK HANDICAP, five furlongs.—Amber and White, 7.13, 1; Foreshot, 7.0, 2; Dogfish, 6.13, 3. Won by a length and a-half. Time, lmin Isec. WARDELL HANDICAP, six furlongs. —Blue Lake, 7.12, 1; British Maid, 7.4. 2; Full Rate, 9.3, 3. Won by over two lengths. Time, lmin 14sec. CONCLUDING DAY.
