January 12th. at the Secretary’s office, Whangarei, at 8 p.m. ACCEPTANCES for the Second Day will close at 10 p.m. on Friday. January ]2th. 1912, at the Secretary’s office, Whangarei. Penalties.—Flat Races—The winner of any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101 b, and every additional race a further penalty of 61b. Horses handicapped at 8.10 or over, to carry only half of the above penalty. (Applies to the Whangarei meeting only.) The winner of any race of £4O or upward after. declaration of weights may be re-handicapped. NOTE.—'Races First Day, Nos. 1. 4,6, and Second Day, Nos. 1,4, 7 are open only to horses that have been owned and trained .continuously in any County north of the Waitemata County three months prior to date of entry.
