C.J.C. METROPOLITAN . MEETING. CONCLUDING DAY’S RACING. The C.J.C. Metropolitan meeting was brought to a conclusion on Saturday in beautiful weather, the attendance being very satisfactory. CONCLUDING DAY. TRAFALGAR WINS HIS LAST RACE. Chief interest centred in the race for the “C. B. Fisher Plate” on the concluding day of the V.R.C. spring meeting at Melbourne on Saturday. Trafalgar had a host of friends, who were afraid that Malt King, coming fresh on the scene after Wallace’s son and Comedy King’s hard work, would triumph. However, Trafalgar proved the victor and passed the post amid ringing cheers. The results of the racing were as follows: — SPRING HANDICAP of ssovs each, with 300sovs added. One mile and a-quarter.
