CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday/ There were some interesting gallops at Riccarton this morning. The wetther was perfect, and the tracks favourable to fast times. Of work done by Cup horses a gallop put up by Miscount stood out promptly. The colt had Royal Scotch and Domino as companions in the gallop over the mile and a-quarter. Setting out at a strong pace Miscount soon went to the front, and going nicely throughout, easily beat his companions, his time being 2.12 4-5 Domino could have done better, but his gallop was not at all pleasing to his supporters. Prim and Martine were associated in a gallop of a mile and a-quartef, the latter showing to most advantage. The time recorded was 2.15 2-5. Cronstadt and Outlander together traversed a similar' distance in 2.15, both finishing together. The gallop was a good one, and showed that these two Cup lightweights , are in their best form. Los Angelos ran strong in the mile, the last seven furlongs taking . 1.31. - He pulled up very fresh. Projectile was too good for auroa over the mile and a-quarter. Goodwin Park by himself ran a similar distance in 2.15 1-5, finishing well. Kilosteri trotted three times round, pulling thoroughly solid. Tanhauser and St. Aidan finished together at the end of the mile and a-quarter gallop, run in 2.15 2-5. Goldfinder was not on th© course. Several Stewards’ candidates performed well. Equitas ran a distance by herself in 1.17 1-5, while the Cornet defeated Dazzling , Colleen Mary over the same journey in 1.17 1-5 May Dalrymple (with a pull in the weights) finished on terms with Anna Carlovona in 49 2-ssec. Editah being beaten off. i

Winning Way (Emmerson) had AUtummis well beaten in 48 l-2sec., the Greek Maid filly being some distance away. Scottish Star finished in froiit of Glenfinnan (Jones) and Brown Owl in 49 3-ssec. Canute, Lady Georgia, Taffeta, and Gnome finished in a line from a standing start without the oarrier in 49 3-ssec., Gnome showing to most advantage. i
