ROTORUA JOCKEY CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING.
ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY NEXT. The annual two-day’s carnival provided by the Rotorua Jockey Club will be held on Wednesday and Thursday next, at the Club’s course, Arawa Park. The meetings in the Hot Lakes district are very popular with sportsmen, and present indications point to a strong contingent of Ellerslie trained horses being sent south to assist. The class of horses engaged this year is exceptionally good, and the meeting gives promise of proving a big success. The secretary, Mr A. A. Yates, will be in attendance, and he can be relied upon to do all in his power to make visitors enjoy the outing. me handicaps for the opening day’s programme are given below, acceptances for same closing to-morrow.
