The wickets were again bad on Saturday, when the fourth round of the Auckland Cricket Association’s championship matches was concluded. The Eden eleven gained an easy victory over the University team at Eden Park, the latter playing two men short. North Shore placed a twopoint win to their credit in their match against Grafton, at Devonport, the Shore batsmen Haddon and Howden again batting attractively. Parnell registered another win in their match against Ponsonby at Victoria Park, both sides batting well considering the disadvantageous conditions. FIRST GRADE. University v. Eden—When stumps were drawn on the previous Saturday University (one man short) had compiled 113 runs, while Eden had 92 runs on the board for the loss of three wickets. Continuing their first innings on Saturday the Eden batsmen increased their total of 149 runs (L. G. Hemus 52, W. Brooke-Smith 20, G. B. Cumming 32, G. Mills 14). For University F. A. Taylor took three wickets for 55 runs, H. Fenwick one for 48 and A. Wallace six for 34. University (batting two men short) then opened their second innings and put together a total of 66 rims for eight wickets (A. Wallace 17, F. ATaylor 29). For Eden G.
