TANAMI WINS THE 1 DERBY. The Australian Jockey Club’s Spring: Meeting- was inaugurated at Randwick on Saturday. The weather was fine, and there was a very large attendance, estimated at 31,000. An accident occurred during the running of the Hurdle Race. H. C. and Diorite fell, and the first-named horse was injured to such an extent that he was destroyed.
