THE WINDSOR RINK.

The young folks and their friends have been holding high carnival at the Windsor Rink this week, with a view of raising funds for the Boy Scouts’ drum and fife band. On Monday the scholars of the Ponsonby public school were in evidence, and on iuesday the Richmond Road school had its turn, the carnival closing today (2.30 to 5 o’clock), with the Bayfield school pupils and friends in attendance. Prizes are to be given to the best boy and best girl skater, competitions being limited to scholars from the Ponsonby district schools. The other sessions will be open to the public as usual. The Windsor is rapidly gaining in popularity, so up-to-date is the equipment in every respect.
