The winner paid a nice dividend, which -is- surprising when 'it is-' remembered that at the Napier Park meeting on June 22 Tina Toa easily defeated Multified, Gold Battery, Niwaru, and several others. Mr. G. B- Oman headed the list of winning owners at the meeting with £640 to his credit. Other principal owners were:—Mr. J. Twohill, £500; Hon. J. D- Ormond, £515; Mr. C. L. Lagor, £400; and Mr. J. R. McDonald, £305, the other winning amounts besportsman. ing below that won by the Levin F. D. Jones headed the list of winning jockeys at the meeting with four wins to his credit. Others who rode two winners apiece were A. Olliver, W. Retter, W. Young, P- Brady, and H- Gray, whilst the following riders saluted Mr. Hartgill on one occasion each, C. Jenkins, M- Ryan, T. Pritchard, C- Brown, F. Speakman, C. Cochrane and J. Griffiths.
