NORTHERN UNION GAME.
The Auckland Provincial Rugby League held an A and B trial match on Saturday with a view of making preparations to meet the British Northern Union team, which arrives here on Sunday next A further trial match is to be held on Saturday, the teams participating being as follows : —
A team: Fullback, Cholly; threequarters, F. Asher, G. Smith, Riley; five-eighths, Carlaw, McDonald; halfback, Farr ant; forwards, Griffen, F. Jackson, Rukutai, Dunning, Fricker, Seagar B team:. Fullback, O- Miller; threequarters, Bonner,., Haddon,,. Nolan; fivereighths, S. Kean, Neighbour; halfback, S-/ Jackson; forwards, Denize,? Bradbury, Mitchell, Bennett, Maiki, Cole. A. Emergencies: Backs, Houghton, Haswell,. Williams,., and Lynch; r forwards, Avery and Bettis.
