FULLER’S WIDE-WORLD PICTURES.

The pictures at the Opera House continue to interest large audiences nightly. It is wonderful, indeed, to note what a hold this form of entertainment has obtained on the public. Much of it is undoubtedly due to the enterprise of the management in securing the very best scenic films available, and in keeping the public well posted in the latest and most important movements and events in all parts of the world. This week’s programme includes the magnificent series depicting a fishing trip in the Highlands Ontario, Canada, the Liverpool Grand National (a very fine racing film), Ski-ing at Bardonecchia (showing the very interesting incidents in connection with the ski jumping meetings of Norway and Sweden, with a detail and realistic finish that has never previously been obtained. No less interesting are the pictures depicting the Sugar Cane Industry in Sunda and the recent aviation meeting at Los Angelos, California, in which the spectacular and sensational performances of M. Paulhan are shown with wonderful fidelity. Of a different order is “The Salve’s Sacrifice,” a very fine film depicting an old Roman story, which is enacted with a realism and artistic finish that instinctively carries the mind back to the days of the old Roman pro-consuls. The humorous films comprise The Old Maid’s orous films comprise “The Old Maid’s Valentine,” “The Town Traveller’s ReFull of dramatic instinct are the pictures depicting “The Power of the Press,” in which one gains a vivid insight into the recklessness of frontier life in the wild west of America, and “The Englishman and the Girl.” The programme, taking it all in all, is one of the best ever submitted.
