TURF RESULTS.

THAMES RACES. The Thames Jockey Club’s Autumn Meeting took place on Saturday under favourable weather conditions, and the meeting was a successful one, both as regards attendance and racing. The following are the results: — MAIDEN PLATE of 35sovs. Six furlongs. Sir Rupert, 8.0 (Greenwood) 1 Captain Soult, 7.2 (Buchanan) 2 Totika, 7.5 (Brown) 3 Also started: Flying Soult and Tenby. Captain Soult took the lead from a good start and maintained it to the bend entering the straight, where Sir Rupert challenged and won by balf-a-length after a good race up the straight. Totika being two lengths away third. Time, lm. 17 4-ss. HURDLE, RACE of 45sovs. On? mile and three-quarters. Mahinga won by two lengths after a good race up the straight between the first two horses. Time, 50 l-ss. A meeting of the stewards was held previous to this race to consider a protest entered by Mr. Lindsay against C. Brown for having first engaged to ride Goldwin and afterwards deciding to ride Hikuai. The matter was considered by . the stewards, arid the rider was reprimanded and cautioned not to repeat the offence. STEEPLECHASE HANDICAP of 60 sots. Two miles and a-half. The first and second horses got away with a lead of several lengths from the start, which they maintained to the finish, Impulsive winning from Lady Dot by a length and a-half. stopped short of anything suggesting riot, and from the second race onwards the proceedings were dull, the racing being for the most part uninteresting.
