In France the gross totalisator turnover for the first nine months of this year was 236,771,230 francs (% 9,470,850), which is an increase of about 5% million francs on the money taken during the same period last year, but about twelve million francs less than for the first nine months of 1907. The French deduction from totalisator investments is 8 per cent.
