WELLINGTON PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

The Wellington centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association have issued their preliminary programme for the Wellington Provincial Championships, which are to be held in the Basin Reserve, Wellington, on Saturday, January 29, 1910. The programme of events is a varied one being as follows:— Championships: 100yds, 220yds, 440yds> (Bannister Cup), 880yds. One mile run. Three miles run, 120 yds. Hurdles, 440yds. Hurdles. One mile walk. Throwing hammer. Long Jump. High jump. . ’ Handicaps. 75yds. Bracelet, 300yds, 1000yds, Hop, Step, and Jump, Poler vault, Putting Shot, Three miles walk, Boys’ half mile walk. Post entry). All Entries (except Boys’ Half Mile Walk) close on Friday, 21st January, 1910, with Mr. H. Robinson, Jeweller, Willis Street; Mr. J. B. Speed, Totacconist, Lambton Quay; Messrs. Kitto and Graham, Tailors, Manners Street; or with the Hon. Secretary, care P.O. lox 89, Wellington; and must be made on N.Z.A.A.A. forms, which can be obtained on application to any of above addresses. Entrance fees are as follows:—7syds.
