'. The committee of the' Auckland Racing Club have every reason to feel particularly pleased with the response from owners on Friday evening, when., the 'club’s secretary (Mr. J. F. Hartland). received entries for the spring and summer meetings. When the list of nominations came to be added ■ up jt'was found that in every instance . a 'record entry had to be noted- The Auckland Cup this year is worth 2000 sovs, and a glance at the entries ' shows that any horse with any galloping ability figures in the list.
