THE OPERA HOUSE.

FULLER’S WORLD-WIDE PICTURES. The pictorial programme provided at the Opera House this week is well up to the high standard established by Messrs. Fuller. Theatre patrons appear to have a partiality for this class of entertainment, judging by the sub-

stantial audiences which attend the Opera House nightly. “ The Will <~.f a Youngster” is a pathetic film and appeals strongly to those present. A little lad is ill-treated by his parents, with the result that he runs away to sea and enlists as a cabin boy. After an absence of ten years the lad, now second officer, returns home just in t me to stop the sale of the household goods, his mother having been reduc-

ed to very poor circumstances. An interesting picture is “The Cocoannt Industry of Trinidad,” showing the complete operation of the industry from the planting to the serving. “ Ascot Sunday at Boulter’s Lock”, sho—sseveral very busy river scenes, and is exceptionally clear. A melodramatic film entitled “ The Street Waif,” finds favour, and is one of the best yet shown in Auckland.. Another sterling picture is “Cattle-raising and Harvesting in British Columbia,” while

“ An Aerial Elopement” is one of the funniest, and draws forth peals of laughter. “ Colombo and Its Environs” is a splendid set of Oriental pictures, showing all kinds of vehicles harnessed to buffaloes, also the whiteclad natives parading the streets. The comic part of the entertainment is provided by “ The Terrible Brazilian,” “ The Man and His Bees,” “ Ruses,” and “ Teaching a Husband a Lesson. ’ The cinephone in conjunction with the pictures renders the item “ I’m Afraid to go Home in the Dark,” while the music of Mr. Fred. Stokes’ orchestra is highly appreciated. Another change of programme will be made on Saturday evening.
