MELBA’S UNSELFISHNESS.
Melba, as a “ discoverer” of voices, has done what other great singers have been too selfish to do—help others. No one had a harder fight at first than she had, and her unselfishness is therefore one of the most refreshing items in a career “crammed full of usefulness and song.”—“Fair Play.”
