AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the Metropolitan Committee was held on Monday evening, the Hon. E. Mitchelson presiding. The hearing of the fresh evidence produced before the conference in the Cunningham case, and referred back to the Metropolitan Committee, was fixed for Tuesday evening next. The following licenses were granted:—Jockeys: James Duffin, Percy Major, and Percy Perrin. Gentleman riders: Messrs. William Hellaby and Alexander Reid. The following dates were approved for the season 1909-10: — Auckland Racing Club: Spring, November 6,9, 13; summer, December 27 and 30 and January 1 and 3; autumn, March 26, 28, and 29; winter, June 3,4, and 8. Takapumr Jockey Club: Spring, November 2 7 and December 1; summer, January 29 and February 2 and 5; winter, May 21 and 24. Avondale Jockey Club; Spring, September 18, 22, and 25; autumn, April 9 and 13. South Auckland Racing Club; February 2 5 and 26. Whangarei Racing Club: January 7 and 8. Waihi Jockey Club: March 5. Rotorua Jockey Club: February 16 and 17- Thames Jockey Club, December 27 and 28 and March 12; Northern Wairoa Racing Club, December 27; Te Aroha Jockey Club, March 7 and 8; Ohinemuri Jockey Club, March 17 and 19. The applications of the Helensville and Te Kuiti Racing Clubs for registration were recommended for approval by the conference.
