AUCKLAND RACING CLUB’S PROGRAMME.

STAKES SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASED. The Auckland Racing Club have already drafted and passed the programmes, and the committee have hit out in the right direction in the stake money to over £29,000, an increase of about £4OOO over the present season. The Auckland Cup stake has been increased to £2OOO, the second and third prizes being fixed at £4OO and £2OO respectively. Two other important increases are connected with the Great Northern Steeplechase and Hardie Race, the stake attaching to each event being raised io £lOOO.
