“THE MERRY WIDOW’S” POPULARITY.

“ The Merry Widow ” has now been played in thirteen different languages, and over 18,000 times. While statistics of the profits on the production have not been published, is is known that the Viennese publisner of the music alone has netted between £60,000 and £70,000. So popular was the play in Germany that it has been successfully produced in 422 towns. The O.P. Club has just been celebrating this great success. Mr. George Edwardes, who produced it, says that it has had a wider success than any musical piece since “ The Mikado ” or “ The Geisha.”
