THE GAME IN THE SOUTH. The results of the senior cup matches at Palmerston North were: — Feilding (18) beat Old Boys (3); Kaitoa (7) beat Palmerston (3). At Napier the senior matches resulted: —Rovers ' (8) beat Old Boys (3); Ahuriri (24) beat Napier (nil); Athletic (8) beat Pirates (nil); Pakipaki (6) beat Kia Ora (nil). The senior competition matches at Wellington resulted as follows: —Victoria College v. Southern: Drawn; no score. Poneke beat Petone by 6 to 3: Oriental beat St. James’ by 6 to 3; Athletic beat Wellington by 5 to nil; Melrose beat Old Boys by 15 to 8. The following were the results of the senior matches at Christchurch: — Merivale (15) beat Christchurch (3); Sydenham (6) beat Linwood (nil); Old Boys (13) beat Canterbury College (8); Albion, a bye. The Dunedin results were as follows:—Alhambra (19 ) beat ZingariRichmond (8); Port Chalmers (14) beat Union (3); Dunedin (11) beat Taieri Rovers (3): Pirates (8) beat Kiikorai (3).
