RICHMOND CLUB.
There was a good attendance of the members of the Richmond Bowling Club at their annual meeting in the pavilion last week. The president (Mr. S. Collard) was in the chair.
The past year’s operations were most satisfactory, the membership having increased during the year by 29. The treasurer’s report and bal-ance-sheet having been read, was adopted, and a vote of thanks was passed to the secretary (Mr. C. H. Tomlinson) for the able and energetic manner in which he had carried out the duties of hon. secretary.
The following trophies were played for and won by the following members: —Kohn medal, W. H. Murray; Lindsay Cooke bowls, C. McMaster; Oceanic bowls, R. Walker; silver tea urn (first and second year championship). C. H. Tomlinson; walkingsticks, C. Morley and G. Murray. The officers for the ensuing year were appointed as follows: —Patron, Mr. O. Nicholson; president, Mr. M. J Bennett; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Roads and C. Morley; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. H. Tomlinson;'general committee, Mesrs. G. Murray, W. Rowe, S. Collard, T. E. Short, C. Jeffries, J. Paterson; Match Committee, Messrs. Short, G. Murray, and Morley; green superintendent, Mr. T. Driffel; auditors, Messrs. J. Thomas and A. R. Haultain; handicapper, J. Paterson; delegates to the Auckland Provincial Association, Messrs. M. J. Bennett and C. Morley. It was resolved to make Mr. C. McMaster a life member of the club. A vote of thanks and appreciation was passed to the retiring president (Mr. S. Collard).
