AUCKLAND REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION.

President Angus Campbell was in the chair at the annual meeting of the Auckland Rugby Referees’ Association, held in the Sports Club on Wednesday evening. The officers of last season were re-elected, and are as follows: —Mr. Angus Campbell, president; Mr. G. Katterns, vice-presi-dent; Mr. C. W. Oram, hon. secretary and treasurer; Executive Committee, officers ex-officio, Messrs. H. Frost and R. Oliphant; Examination Committee, Messrs. A. Campbell, G. Katterns, and W. Pitts. It was decided to meet every Wednesday evening, at 7.30 p.m., the next meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 8. Mr. A. Campbell was elected delegate to the conference of the New Zealand referees, to be held here at Easter. The bylaws were amended to provide that any member who does not attend at least one meeting in a calendar month, without special permission, will cease to be a member. It was decided to entertain the delegates visiting the conference at Easter. It was also decided to approach the A.R.U. and the clubs with regard to the future appointment of referees.
