THE CITY LICENSING COMMITTEE.

Mr. J. J. Craig is the only member of the present Licensing Committee that will not seek re-election. Mr. Jno. Court will, in all probability, be nominated for the vacancy left by Mr. Craig’s retirement. The other members of the present Bench —consisting of Messrs. P. A. Rosser, M. Casey and Graves Aickin —will be nominated for re-election. There being no questions upon which the trade and its opponents are at variance, it is improbable that any other candidates will be put forward. Should the present nominations not be added to, no election will be necessary, and the city finances will- be saved the expense of a contest. If, however, by further nominations an election has to be held,-, the date for such election is set. ..vwn for the 13th inst
