TRAINING NOTES.

EL LESS LIE. TUESDAY. Tuesday being fine, some useful work was done. Dady Annie, one of the Railway Handicap candidates, did a useful seven furlongs on the tan in Imin 29 2-ssec. Waitati slipped over five furlongs on the sand in Imin 4sec. The Cup horse Apologue sprinted five furlongs on the sand with Kilderkin in Imin 6 4-ssec. They finished together. Scotty did a couple of useful rounds on the sand track, with Mark Ryan up. The gelding looks big and lusty. Putty trotted once round and then broke away for another circuit at threequarter pace. Monoform, who seemed thick in his wind, had a couple of half-pace rounds. Gladstone and Hohoro slipped over six furlongs nearly at top, finishing together. Both horses looked well. Pearl Necklet took Imin 33sec to negotiate seven furlongs on the sand. Ben Blair, who has had a lengthy spell for seven months, sprinted three furlongs in 39sec. Jewellery, with weight up, had 18 furlongs at half pace. Inniskillen, who looks well, did a similar task. Landlock, who got a break on King Paul, finished strongly over six furlongs : n Imin 18 l-ssec. Sir Gilead silenced Le Beau and Silicia in a seven furlongs’ spin in Imin 29 2-ssec.

Mahutonga, looking big and muscular, had J. Buchanan for a pilot over two circuits on the sand at half-pace. Geordie easily disposed as Master Delaval in a seven furlongs’ flutter in Imin 28s. Hurihuri, who essayed to go with he pair, was beaten off. General Average hopped off at the six furlongs’ mark, and ran the distance out at top on the tan. Leonator was much too fast for old Solo in a four furlongs’ sprint in 50 4-ssec.

Carl Rosa moved like machinery over a short course.

Puhipuhi, who looks to be fining down since last raced in public, strode over nine furlongs in 2min 2sec, but could have improved the time. Full Cry spurted six furlongs in Imin 16sec on the tan.
