TRAINING NOTES.

ELLERSLIE-

TUESDAY. The Takapuna Jockey Club’s Meeting being within reasonable distance, the local trainers are sending their teams along. Lycia and Miss Lottie did a circ'e on the sand at an easy pace, and then put on the pace for a good working gallop, finishing up the nine furlongs in 2min 15 3-ssec, the latter going well. Gladstone was content with two rounds at half-pace work on the same track. Sir Hector negotiated seven furlongs in a shade under Jmin 42sec. Go 1 den Sands and St. Harp ran a mile •on the sand track in Imin 54sec. the latter subsequently jumped three hurdles in the centre of the course fairly well but with no pace on. Desdemona spurted a few furlongs, the last three furlongs in 43sec ;'• this mare looks well. Delania alone ran nine furlongs on the sand at three-quarter pace. Er. Quest easily disposed of Simple .Simon in a short-spurt on the sand. Hakaria and Papatu did two solid rounds on the tan, moving freely. Waititi spurted a few furlongs very nicely. . . Putty had the credit of Imin 20sec for a six furlongs dash alone. Te Aroha, Dingo, Major, Mauku, Pearl Necklet, Idas', Lady Hune, Sonoma, and others, worked before breakfast. A heavy fog obscured the view of most of the gallops.
