THAMES JOCKEY CLUB’S SUMMER MEETING.

FIRST DAY. The Thames Jockey Club opened its summer meeting under favourable circumstances. The weather was all that could be desired, and the attendance of the public very good. The totalisator (10s tickets) was well patronised, and a total of £2716 10s was put through. The following are the results :— MAIDEN HANDICAP of 40sovs ; seven furlongs. Mr H. B. A total sum of £2694 10s (10s tickets) was passed through the totalisator during the day. making a grand total of £5407 for the meeting, which is £llO less than that put through during the corresponding meeting of last year.
