The annual meeting of the members of the Grafton Football Club was held during the week in the training hall, at Eden-street, Mount Eden. There was a large attendance of members, Mr G. P. Murray presiding. The eleventh annual report, which was presented by the secretary (Mr George Sanders), stated that the finances of the club were in a better position than in any previous year. New additions, costing £47, had been made to the hall, and £25 had been paid off the mortgage debt, which left an indebtedof £75. Although the senior team did not again succeed in winning the past season's championship, they performed very creditably, occupying third honours. Tfie first junior fifteen, for the first time tince the inauguration of the district scheme, succeeded in winning the premier position in their grade. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £5 4s fid. The receipts, totalling £49 14s 7d, included members' subscriptions £l2, president’s donation £2 2s, vice-presidents’ donations £29 Bs, and donation from the Auckland Rugby Union £25. The assets, including the freehold property and hall, were stated at £3OB 3s, the only liability being a mortgage on the hall of £75. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year : —President, Mr A. M. Myers ; secretary, Mr W. Marshall ; assistantsecretary, Mr E. Craig ; treasurer, Mr Geo. Tutt ; delegates to the association, Messrs G. P. Murray, I). Hay, and A. Woofer ; auditor, Mr George Sanders ; managmen»t committee, Messrs H. Kiernan, G. Nevill, and G. Huddlestone. Messrs D. Hay, M. McGuinness, and J. Gunson were appointed life members of the club, and accorded a hearty vote of thanks for their past services in the interests of the club. A notice of motion was given to the effect that the annual subscription be reduced from 10s to ss.

The annual meeting of the Otago Rugby Union was held last week. Mr J. Hutchison was re-elected president,-, and Mr G. Smith secretary. The proposal to appoint a sole selector of representative teams in future was’ carried by a narrow majority, and it was resolved that the union be registered under the Unclassified .Societies Act. w ♦ * * The third annual meeting of. the Tabernacle Football Club was held in the Tabernacle Social Hall a few days ago, Pastor Clark (president) presiding. There was a good attendance of players.
