Hobart, March 26, 1903.

Dear Amicus,—Just a few lines to say that the Pollard Opera Comuany had a very rough trip across from New Zealand, and in consequence we could not open till Monday, March 23rd, when “ Tapu ” was staged, and it proved a big success. Mr J. C. Williamson and his stage manager, Mr H. Bracey, were present to witness the performance. They expressed themselves delighted, and complimented the Members of She Company on their work. We leave for Cape Town on the 31st . inst., where we, as you know, start on an extended tour, playing “ Djin-Djin,” “ The Old Guard,” “ Olivette,” “ Tambour Major,” “ Gondolier,” and other popular pieces. With best wishes to our Auckland friends. Yours truly, FRANK O’SULLIVAN.
