MDLLE. DOLORES.

The return visit of Mdlle. Dolores has been looked for eagerly, and at last the wishes of (he Auckland concert-goers has been gratified, for the talanted French soprano was to give a recital in the Choral Hall last evening. Our going to press before the concert deprives us of reviewing it, but we are certain that a bumper house will be accorded. The programme arranged consists of no less than eleven items, so that almost every taste in music is catered for. Mdlle. Dolores’ art is of a particularly finished and relined character. Her expressive countenance imbues with line shades of dramatic feeling all that she takes in hand, and the rich-voicetl soprano, under all possible circumstances of competition, holds' her place as a singer of the highest rank. A second concert will be given to-morrow (Friday) evening, for which the booking of seats has been exceptionally good. * * * ♦
