ATHLETICS

Matters in the athletic line are very „ slack just now, anh thete is but little doing locally, £q fact, with the exception of the Caledonian Sports, one might sav nothing.

The Auckland Amateur Sports Club has taken possession of the new premises in His Majesty’s Arcade. The new rooms are certainly a vast improvement on the old ones, although the latter were the best obtainable at the start of the young club.

The picturesque kilts were much in evidence at the meeting, while some of the Scottish dances, especially the Highland Fiirg, were splendidly executed.
