Miss Roxy BarioiT. whose photo is reproduced on our frontispiece of this issue, is a native of Sydney, aitf has for the past year been associated with Messrs. RS- —
Willoughby and Geach,playing_leadjng lady in their several theatrical enterprises. Miss Barton, thanks to a personal charm, grace of manner, and undoubted talents, has in the short space of four years risen from the lowest rung m proverbial stage ladder, and to-day stands by far the finest and most promising actress Australia has produced, and Aucklanders are looking forward to Boxing Night, when they will have the pleasure of making the professional acquaintance of Miss Barton as the Lady Detective in “The Wrong Mr Wright, the interpretation of which part is earning her so much praise.
