Dargaville hotelkeeper was recently fined for permitting drunkenness, and supplying an intoxicated person with liquor. •-* ■ • * In the local Court last Friday Mr F E. Hamilton, licensee of the. Captain Cook Hotel, Newmarket, was fined 10s and costs 7 s for failing to keep the outside lamp above the door alight. THE FULL PENALTY. In the Wanganui Police Court last Thursday a man named Frederick Jones was fined the full penalty of £lO for procuring liquor for a prohibited person. Mr Kettle, the presiding 8.M., remarked that it was no use being lenient, and. in future in all similar cases he would inflict the full penalty.
