THE TURF. Back-blocks.—You cannot get your Orange and Blue money back, as the authorities have already paid out over Blue Paul We do not think the A.R.C. Committee will take any further action regarding Orange and Blue’s running. Our Views on the matter you will find in our issue of the 11th inst. Faik Play.—The judge at Flemington is paid, and paid a good salary too. Honorary judges are all very well in their way, but a paid judge—that is what is wanted. Dividend.—You always have the opportunity of adding up the figures for yourself, as the numbers are not taken down from the machine until some minutes after the judge’s placings are posted. Captain.—Members of the A.R.C. will be admitted on production of their tickets at the Avondale Meeting to be held at Ellerslie on the 20th and 27 th inst. Members of the Takapuna Jockey Club will have to pay, as there is no reciprocity between the two Clubs. Disgusted.—The judge undoubtedly made a mistake in his placings. Zealous was a head, if not more, in front of The Needle when they passed the post. THE STAGE. Pit —Mr U. B. Westmaeott will probably be able to give you the information. A letter addressed to the Opera House will find him.
