PARNELL SAILING CLUB.

The Parnell Sailing Olub held their third series of races for the season at Judges’ Bay on Saturday afternoon last. The races were well contested. Messrs Bloomfield Brothers’ yacht Viking did duty as flagship Mr W. Jagger acted as starter and Mr F. M. Jervis as timekeeper and judge. The following are the details of the races : — 26-Footers Overall and under: Entries and handicaps—Pastime, scratch; Kotiro, 4Vmin ; Waitangi, 9min. The boats were started at eight minutes to three p.m Waitangi had much the better of the start, followed by Pastime, with Kotiro a bad last. Passing Brick Bay, Kotiro had a lead of 55sec from Pastime and 2min 30stc from Waitangi. Kotiro passing the flagship on the down journey was lmin 45aec ahead of Pastime and 3min ahead of Waitangi. All the way round the second time Kotiro maintained her lead, and Pastime got further away from Waitangi, the finish being : Kotiro, shr 55min; Pastime, shr 58min 55sec ; Waitangi, 6hr 2min

13sec. The latter takes second place on time allowance. 22-Footers and Under Overall: Entries i»nd handicaps —Waimoa, scratch ; Myra, scratch ; Kotare Bmin ; Merlin, 19min ; Mercia, 23min. Kotare did not start. The race was si arced at one minute past three p.m. Myra and Merlin got away well'together, but W aimoa and Mercia were a good way behind. Up to the Queen street Wharf mark Waimoa came up to the others. Round Calliope buoy and the Sandspit Myra was still in the lead, Waimoa having worked into second place. The finish was: Myra, 4hr 55min ; Waimoa shs Omin 20sec ; Merlin, shr 18min ; Mercia, shr 21 min 23sec . Patikis : Entries and handicaps—Rita, scratch; Eka, lmin ; Kangaroo, lmin ; Zie, 4min. Kangaroo did not start. The race was started at ten minutes past three p.m. Zoe was first away, followed by Eka and Bita in that order, the start being a very good one. The finish was : Rita, shr 14min 30sec; Zoe, shr 21min; Eka, shr 24 min. Open Handicap : Entries and handicaps— Aorere, scratch ; Corinna, 16min. The race was started at twenty minutes past three. Although, the start was a good one, Aorere was the quickest away, and when the boats were sent off the breeze had freshened considerably. Corinna sailed a good race, but could not come up on Aorere, which steadily increased the gap between her and Corinna, ard the finish was : Aorere, ohr 9min ; Corinna, 6hr 19inin 25soc. The latter wins on time allowance.
