Cyranian is a bright bay, black legs, is a handsome horse of rare quality aad substance, pace and excellent temper. He won the Hardwicks Stakes, Granby Stakes, Johnston’s Plate at Stockbridge, Welter at Newmarket, Belper Plate at Derby. Sprit gfield, sire of Daisy Chain, the best horse of his day, started 19 titres, won 17, twice second. Also sire of Alloway, Watercress, Morganette (the dam of Galtee More, winner of Two Thousand Guineas, Derby and Leger), Sainfoin (Derby winner). His progeny up to. 1897 won 326 races, value of £141,952, Cam buscan, sire of Chatelaine, also sire of the peerless: Kinsem, winner of 62 races over all distances and never beat; Onslow. Camballo (winner of Two Thousand: Guineas), Idalia (the dam of Sir Modred, Sir Launcelot), Feruia, dam of Pal Lal, also dam of Pretender, winner of Two Thousand Guineas and Derby.
