HOROWHENUA HACK RACING CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING
* The HorowhenUa Hack Racing Club held its first annual meeting on Friday last, and was favored with glorious weather, about 1500 people being present. Some splendid starts were effected by Mr Pringle, and Mr Morse is also to be congratulated on his handicapping, some good finishes being the result. Mr C. K. The good dividend of £2O 2s was paid in the Stewards’ Handicap by Naybom, and the stewards deemed fit to hold an enquiry into his running in the Cup Handicap, but after hearing evidence did not disturb the verdict.
