Nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 4 sovs.—To start at 12.45 p.m. The “ Lett” Handicap Hack Hurdle Race of 100 sovs; second horse to receive 20 sovs from the stakes. About one and a half miles, over six flights of hurdles 3ft 6in in height. Distance, one and three-quarter miles. In the event of any entrant winning a handicap of the value of 100 sovs, after the declaration of weights, the handicapper will review that horse’s weight, and will raise it or allow it to stand as he thinks fit. It is only winners that will be re-handicapped. If the weight of any horse is altered the revised handicap will be published on or about Saturday, February 26th, 1898.
