OTAGO.

Missfire—The Hunt Club Entries— Puriri. Dunedin, August 24. Mr B. Curtis has sold Missfire privately to George Hope for £l7O. He should make a useful horse in the North Island. . The Dunedin Jockey Club have refused entry of any horse on the disqualified list, and I notice that the South Canterbury Jockey Club has done the same thing. Entries for our Hunt Club Meeting last Saturday were good, the most of the local N.Z. Cup candidates being nominated in Kensington Handcap. Puriri is now the property of Mr T. Laudell, and is being trained by Tom Bowie. Mr Jowitt, a steward of the D.J.C., elected at the last annual meeting, has resigned. He was a good sport, and associated in the ownership of a dozen horses here.
