The new Governor, the Earl of Ranf urley, will be invited to take the position of patron of the New Zealand Rugby Union. The Napier Rugby Union speak of sending a team to Auckland this year. Peter Jackson intimated officially that he would challenge the winner of the Fitzsimmons-Corbett fight.
