AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB’S SUMMER MEETING.

The summer meeting of the Auckland Trotting i dub will be opened on Saturday, at Potter’s Paddock, and if the weather remains fine the club should achieve a success of a pronounced nature. The liberal nature of the programme certainly deserves encouragement, both by the owners of horses and by the public. The going at Potter’s Paddo -k is pretty hard just now, but that will exactly suit the trotters, and there should be a good exhibition during the afternoon. Mr Marks has made complete arrangements for the convenience of the patrons of the meeting. Good fields have accepted for each event, a fact

which tends to show that the handicapper (Mr Knight) has done his work faithfully and well, and the task, therefore, of anticipating the juige’s decision is no easy one.
